Illinois Evanston Fair Workweek Ordinance (Fair Scheduling) – Compliance Reminder
Beginning on September 1, 2023, Evanston will have a fair scheduling law that applies to employers in the following industries, with varying employee count thresholds: hospitality, food service, retail, warehouse service, manufacturing, and building services. The law requires adequate notice of employees’ work schedules, premium pay to employees for employer-initiated schedule changes on short notice, and more.
