Arkansas Employment Certificate Requirements Removed for 16-Year-Olds
Effective July 31, 2023, the Arkansas Youth Hiring Act removes the state’s requirement that children under 16 must get the Division of Labor’s permission to be employed. Instead, minors under 16 shouldn’t be required to get an employment certificate as a condition of employment, and the division shouldn’t require that they verify their age, via an employment certificate, as a condition of employment.
