Rhode Island | Temporary Caregiver Insurance Benefits Increased
Temporary Caregiver Insurance (TCI) benefits will increase as follows:
- Beginning January 1, 2025, up to a maximum of seven weeks in a benefit year.
- Beginning January 1, 2026, up to a maximum of eight weeks in a benefit year.
TCI is run by the state but requires employers to provide job-protected leave and health benefit continuation during the period of approved leave. For more information, you can go to the state’s Department of Labor and Training website.
