Minnesota | Requires Pay and Benefits in Job Postings

Starting January 1, 2025, employers with 30 or more employees in the state will be required to include, in all job postings, a pay range and a general description of any benefits and other compensation offered.

Job postings are defined broadly and include anything that contains applicant qualifications intended to recruit job applicants for a specific available position. This includes postings made electronically or in print and all forms of recruitment (whether directly by the employer or indirectly by a third party on the employer’s behalf).

Minnesota | More Generous Sick and Safe Time Policies

Beginning January 1, 2025, if an employer provides paid leave beyond the statutory minimum and allows its use for personal illness or injury, the additional paid leave must meet the same requirements as Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST), except for those addressing accrual. This does not apply to short-term or long-term disability or other salary continuation benefits.
