Pay Equity Expanded

Effective January 1, 2024, employers with 50 or more employees must disclose an hourly rate or salary range in all job listings that reflects the actual expected pay for the job. The disclosure is not required for positions that are internal transfers or promotions with a current employer. The state’s equal pay mandate will also expand to prohibit employers from paying different rates to members of all protected classes (not only the protected class of sex) for similar work (not for equal work).
