Nebraska Employers May Continue to Prohibit Concealed Handguns in the Workplace
Effective September 10, 2023, Nebraska does not require a permit to carry a concealed handgun in the state. However, employers may continue to prohibit the carrying of a concealed handgun in the workplace and in employer-owned vehicles.
Action Items
Employers must conspicuously post notice that concealed handguns are not allowed on the premises and may request a person remove the concealed handgun from the premises.
