Massachusetts: 2023 PFML Notices, Posters, and Rate Sheets Released
On November 15, 2022, the Massachusetts Department of Family and Medical Leave (DFML) released the following:
- 2023 Workplace Poster
- All Massachusetts employers must display this poster, explaining paid family and medical leave (PFML), at their workplace in a location where it can be easily read.
- 2023 Notice for Workforce with 25 or More Covered Individuals
- This notice is for employers with 25 or more Massachusetts employees and covered contract workers. It informs these workers about their rights and obligations under the PFML law.
- 2023 Notice for Workforce with Fewer than 25 Covered Individuals
- This notice is for employers with fewer than 25 Massachusetts employees and covered contract workers. It informs these workers about their rights and obligations under the PFML law.
- 2023 Notice to Self-Employed Individuals
- This form is for employers with 25 or more 1099-MISC workers. It informs self-employed individuals about their rights and obligations under the PFML law.
- 2023 Rate Sheets for Employers
- Employers are responsible for sending contributions to DFML for all employees and this rate sheet contains notice of the 2023 contribution rates.
All posters, notices, and rate sheets must be available in both English and each language that is the primary language of five or more individuals in the employer’s workforce, if the translations are available from DFML.
