Iowa State Tax updated
Effective 1 January 2022, the Iowa State Tax withholding formula has changed:

- The annual standard deduction was updated from $2,130 to $2,210, for 0 or 1 allowances.
- The annual standard deduction was updated from $5,240 to $5,450, for 2 or more allowances.
- The dollar amounts in the Annual Pay Period table were updated
The annual Deduction Amount Per Allowance remains the same at $40. The supplemental wage tax rate remains 6%.

Iowa State Unemployment Tax updated
Effective 1 January 2022, the Iowa State Unemployment Tax wage base will increase from $32,400 to $34,800.
